Air layering is easy way to reproduce plants. Air layering techniques are suitable for tropical fruits tree. You can air layering a fruit tree at any time of the year.

You Will Need

1) Sharp knife

2) Clear plastic

3) Potting soil

4) Sphagnum

5) Rope or ware

It is not difficult.  You have got everything handy just flow step by step:


1) Select a pencil size of branch.

2) Cut the branch two parallel 1/1/2 inches apart with a sharp knife.

3) Just cut deeply enough so the outside bark peels off, when you going for an exposed wound.

4) Then keep some handful sphagnum moss or potting soil.

5) Warp the wound with moist potting soil, and then cover it with plastic wrap to form an airtight              pouch. Then warp both around the ends of the plastic warp.

6) After one month root will from inside the plastic pouch when the new root fills the moss cut the          stem off the fruit tree.

7) Then remove the plastic wrap and moss intact and plant the new fruit tree in a container or field.

This air layering process new branch will bear fruits sooner and the fruits will test same as the mother plant.
This air layering processes apply many tree not only fruit but also many kind of tree. Example of those tree apple, guava, lemon, citrus, mango, roses, hibiscus, chairs, bonsai tree etc.
